Search inside some IE8 sites causes This Tab Has Been Recovered er

Just entering a character in the search box inside several websites, e.g.
www.usps.com, causes the tab to be closed. Then "A problem with this webpage
caused Internet Explorer to close and reopen this tab" appears.
